3Dsolar Project ExamplesThe following screenshots show an example of a project, that was modelled very quickly with 3Dsolar in exactly the detail and refinement required for running a lighting simulation. Overview
Note how most building blocks are only modelled as bounding boxes. Those volumes may be important for the obstruction they provide, but their details contribute little to the information that we're after in the simulation. Local Deatils
We need more details on the facades near our simulation focus. Note that most elements are repetitive, which means that we only have to model each of them once, and can then multiply them around. The overlay shows the result of a quick preview of an image simulation. Daylight Factor
The graphic is looking at a cross section, with a sensor array in place for numerical simulation. The overlay shows a diagram of the daylight factor curve created externally from the simulation result data. Visual Evaluation
Here we have a overlay showing the result of an image simulation. The picture shows the view of a person sitting at the working desk behind the window. As a next step, potential glare problems could be illustrated by a falsecolor rendering of the same picture. | ||||
