american foto safari - New York City

Ford Foundation Building by Kevin Roche Dinkeloo & Associates, with Chrisler Building in the background

Probably one of the best buildings of the sixties in New York City, initiating the move away from the "shoebox" modernism. A large part of the volume is used to form an interior courtyard, where it is green, cool (in summer), and quiet. Many offices are oriented towards that space with full height glazing.
