Great trees on Jekill Island.
This is a narrow strip of sand and vegetation in front of the Georgia coast. It used to serve as a club resort to the super rich in the past, but the state of Georgia bought it back from them later. Large parts of it are still wilderness, and the rest has become an affordable vacation destination.
Much of the vegetation and wildlife apperas to be left unattended. The trees on this picture are a lot bigger than they look like. They are covered by some kind of lichen or moss, which gives them a white-bearded appearance.
