The following privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy, and discloses our information gathering and dissemination practises for this web site. This policy is binding for the site owner, as well as for any of his employees and/or subcontractors working on the site, all of which are further referenced to as "we".

Access Data

We record the connection data and click path information of your visit, in order to serve your page view requests and to secure and improve our web site. The data we collect this way includes the time, client IP address, referer, user agent, and the accessed page of each request, as well as the search terms and parameters when you use the site search feature. This information doesn't normally reveal the identity of a visitor, but it allows to follow the path of each visitor through the site for an individual session.

The resulting data is of primarily statistical value, and will be kept on file permanently. The raw data will never be given to any third party, but we may share anonymized statistical reports generated from it with our business partners, or the general public.

Software Demo Key Requests

At your request, we provide you with a temporary activation key for the Rayfront software demo version. We ask for your name because we would like to know who is testing your products. The key will be sent to you per e-mail. We will also send you one reminder after your key has expired, asking you to comment on your test results.

The request form also has fields for your company name and physical address. This information is optional, but if provided, allows us to get a better idea about our target audience. This data will be kept on file as a reference for the sole purpose of preventing abuse through repeated key requests. If you wish to use our software for more than a month as permitted through a demo key, then you'll have to buy a full copy. None of this information will ever be given to any third party.

Software Purchase

When you buy our software, then you'll provide us with your full contact information, name, physical address, telephone, and e-mail address. This information is required, so that we can register you as a licensed user of our software, and to send you your copy of the respective products.

This data will be kept on file permanently. If the software you bought was produced by ourselves, then we won't give your data to anyone else, other than the shipping agent who needs it to deliver your goods. If you bought a product that we are reselling from another developer that we have a partnership with, then we may give your data to this partner for the same purporses, assuming they apply a similarly restrictive privacy policy as we do.

Your payment will usually be processed by Kagi or by PayPal. Please check their seperate privacy policies to see how they protect your data. From past experience, we have reason to believe that they will treat your privacy with the same respect as we do.

Mailing Lists

At your request, we will subscribe you to our support mailing list or our newsletter. Obviously, we need your e-mail address for this purpose.

The e-mail addresses stored for those subscriptions will never be used for any other purpose. You can chose to unsubscribe from our mailing lists and newsletters at any time, at which point your registered address will be irrecoverably purged from our systems.

Of course, if you have used the same e-mail address for direct communication with us, then our normal e-mail system will keep a seperate copy of this address stored, for the purpose of a possible continued direct communication in the future.

Feedback Form

If you want to communicate with us, then you can either do that by direct e-mail, or you can use the feedback form linked from every page. When doing so, you may provide your name and e-mail address for us to reply to you.

We will treat the information aquired by those methods the same way as if you had sent us a direct e-mail. This means that we will keep your name and address on file, but never give them to anyone else.

Tell a Friend

Alternatively, you can send a notification about a page on our site to someone else, through our "Tell a Friend" form. To prevent abuse, in this case it is mandatory to provide the name and e-mail address of both you and the recipient.

Please note that, although you can include some short comments of your own in such a message, this is not a private communication channel, as we will also see everything you write. This is necessary for us to prevent abuse, and it also helps us to learn about what people do or don't like about our site. In contrast to the feedback form however, we will purge the names and e-mail addresses from our systems at most four weeks after the message has been sent, and not use them for any other purpose or give them to anyone else. The only exception to this rule will be data that we may have collected in the context of any abuse of the notification form.
