Interior reflectors are usually designed as light shelves. The more reflective and specular the upper surface, the higher the efficacy.

Anidolic Mirrors

Exactly as in the exterior case, the efficacy of light shelves can be significantly enhanced through a specifically curved shape designed after the principles of nonimaging optics. For the architect, the task of integrating the enormous volume of such a system into the interior design of an office can be quite a challenge.
