Simulation Notes

The individual slats are available in widths of 80 mm, 50 mm and 25 mm. The Raydirect geometry file is modelled with 80 mm, if the exact visible size is important, scale with 0.635 resp. 0.3125.

Slats are available in one closed piece or partially perforated either along one or both edges. The current version of Raydirect does NOT take any perforation into account.

The mirror polish is normally only applied to the upper (concave) surface, the backside gets a diffuse coating. Raydirect assumes mirror polish on both sides, and may therefore predict higher luminances than observed in reality when looking at the window from a lower point of view from the inside.
