Daylight Redirection Systems | |||
Stepped Mirror LouversMetallic profiles with two functional segments. The stepped segments towards the outside reflects incident light from higher angles almost completely out again. The slightly curved segment towards the romm reflects light from lower angles towards the ceiling. The system allows a relatively high amount of direct view in horizontal direction. There are two different types of this system available. The standard type is meant for pure redirection above eye level. The second type avoids to reflect light in flat angles, which reduces the danger of glare when applied at eye level or below.
System Specification
Simulation NotesThe mirror polish is normally only applied to the upper (concave) surface, the backside gets a diffuse coating. Raydirect assumes mirror polish on both sides, and may therefore predict higher luminances than observed in reality when looking at the window from a lower point of view from the inside. Developers
