Exposure

(Term of photography)

The relative amount of light hitting the sensitive coating of the photographic film (or the sensor in digital photography). This amount is determined by the factor of the aperture and the shutter speed.

The exposure value used for displaying and converting Radiance images is analog in meaning to the photographic term.
