Texture Modifier Types

Textures are used to modify the normal vector on each specific point of a surface. This is normally used to simulate a material surface structure on an otherwise planar surface, so that the directional reflection properties of that surface vary according to the texture definition. Textures can also be mixed by applying a mixture modifier.

Texfunc

The functional texture type influences the normal vector of a surface according to a defined function, possibly from a function file.

Texdata

The data driven texture type influences the normal vector of a surface according to data read from a file.
