Rayfront User Manual

Menu Items

The menus in the main dialog of Rayfront offer an alternative way to many functions, plus some that are not accessible otherwise.

• File

  • New Project...
  • Open Project... - Select a *.rif file to open
  • Close Project - Close the current project
     
  • New Variation... - Create a new variation in the current project or clone an existing one.
  • Save Variation - Save the current variation
     
  • Quit - Exit the program

• Project

  • Project Location...
  • Import from Autocad/Intellicad...
     
  • Preferences...

• Variation

  • New Sky...
  • Edit Sky...
     
  • Assign/Edit Materials...
  • Set Simulation Settings...
  • Set Preprocess Settings...
  • Set Special Render Settings...
     
  • Build Octree... - create the octree of the current variation without actually running a simulation.

• Import

  • Import Luminaire Data...
  • Foreign Scene Geometry...
  • DXF Geometry...

• Images

  • Convert...
  • Analyze... (on Unix Systems, on Windows Systems)
